Anyone else think DC is favorably coaching Jared Gordon at the Apex?

I've noticed this two times in a row.
With the Apex arena being so quiet, the fighters can hear everything the commentators say.
But DC goes overboard with it.
He goes 10 minutes straight talking about what Gordon needs to do to get out of that position, and he never does the same for his opponents.

Watch both Solecki/Gordon and Chavez/Gordon fights back to back and you'll know what I'm talking about.
It's nonstop commentary bias and favorable coaching.

Jared Gordon has 2 coaching teams in every fight.

Nothing could really be done about it imo.

I highly doubt. DC can't even remember his name.

Didn't Gordon do a call out?
DC was still processing that matchup.
I bet you anything DC was thinking about Paddy while he was talking to Jared and blanked out. He was about to call him Paddy.

They need to find a way to soundproof the commentators when they're at the Apex..
I said this in a different thread about the apex, that’s honestly my only issue with holding events there. The fact that the judges fighters and refs can hear the commentary team so clearly introduces an outside influence on the fights that I don’t like to see.

Other fighters have said its so quiet that they could hear everything the commentators were saying. So yes it does matter what they say

Some fighters can even hear the commentators in a packed arena - I think I remember someone got coached through a submission by Rogan, and actually commented on it in the post-fight interview.

If you can hear your corner yelling, you can hear the commentators yelling. Most of the time it's not worth listening to, of course, but it's absolutely possible no matter the environment.

Haha, yeah it was funny though :D

DC can't even hide his biases, it's sickening. He was doing it the entire card, not just the Gordon fight. Between the loud commentary and his asskissing of certain fighters, he's making these cards unbearable, and he's possibly effecting the outcome of certain fights. They need to remove him from the booth IMMEDIATELY.

If Gordon can hear him, then so can his opponent

2 teams coaching 1 fighter can drown out any coaching instructions for the opponents.
Let's say Gordon's team is coaching from the left and DC's commentary is coming from the north.
He could be anywhere in the octagon and still get great advice.
Whereas the opponent is only hearing instructions from 1 side of the octagon.

Thank Joe Rogan and whatever the UFC was thinking allowing Joe to say whatever he wanted to say at the beginning.

I think it's just what the commentators do... They are supposed to be experts so they talk about the fight as it flows eh?

How many times have we heard Rogan give the "tell" when a fighter rotates their stance prior to a kick, or some spinny shit ?

I mean, it's hard to disagree that the fighters can hear the commentators... They can... But they are also listening to their corners and in the middle of a fight too.

Caviet Emptor Bro... Listen to DC babble at your own risk. He isn't right about everything is he.

DC is a horrible, biased commentator. What more needs to be said? He’s the worst I’ve ever heard. No professionalism at all.

Commentating is getting cringey the more they try to make it seem like an instructional video. They might as well introduce the fights as “Felder and DC present; live fight commentary breakdown” for all the personal philosophical takes those two have between them. “He needs to be doing X in this position that is what I would do and the correct execution of the technique. This will not work. Oh it did work but I would never try that because your supposed to invert the arm blah blah”. We get it Felder, you are technically sound but Jesus……I never thought someone could come off more arrogant than Cruz whilst being 60 percent less effective in his commentary.

DC is a good friend to have...If I was a UFC fighter I would be giving Rogan loads of weed and DC compliments in how I thought He beat Jones..... And of course shave my head but keep the shine lower...In the "48 Laws of Power", the First rule to Power is never out shine your boss.
