Anyone else think beer is disgusting?

Go to a place with good selection of beers. Get a flight or two and discover what you like. Not all beer is the same. There's a wide variety of colors, flavors, weight, etc.

Northern Cali craft brew Master race checking in.

Of course beer is gross if you are buying mainstream piss water. There are so many different types of craft beers that I can't imagine anyone not finding a type that they like.

Exactly! People in here are saying they've tried all sorts of beer and then mention Carona, Bud Light, Tsingtao, etc. They are all the same. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy a good pilsner on a hot day or when I'm thirsty and don't want a 8% IPA.
But people need to get out and do some sampling. Saying you don't like beer b/c you only try mainstream stuff is ridiculous. It's like saying you don't like wine when all you've tried is Merlot. Or saying you don't like soda b/c you tried diet orange soda.

Pilsner , IPA, Stout, Porter....etc. Technically yes they are all beers but Vodka, Gin, Tequila, etc. are all spirits but taste vastly different.

There is definitely some nasty beers out there and hardly one I would find refreshing so I understand you there TS. That being said, I just drank 2 triple IPA's with hints of malt in it by Founders brewing (12%abv) and it kicked my ass, but I like beers that do that. At any rate, don't drink the mainstream rat piss you see on TV. Give the craft beer scene a try or maybe ciders (only beer my sister drinks), I highly recommend it.

Fucking hate the stuff and I hate the whole 'men drink beer garbage'

It's no stronger than cider you morons that's why you can drink so much not because you are hardcore drinkers <45>

I start on cider usually then onto Vodka.

On a sidenote proper British Ale is a mans drink that stuff is strong as hell.

What British Ale in particular are you speaking of if you don't mind me asking?

The only thing worse than people who don't like beer are craft beer snobs who act all douchy if someone drinks Budweiser.

There is some truth to that as well. I like craft beers but I certainly don't get on anyone else who drinks Budweiser. People can drink what they like to drink. I hang around a lot of craft beer people (I'm in Norther California there are a TON of good ones here) and know a few people like that. If they go to a party and there isn't anything craft like , they get all pissy or they make fun of someone who orders a pilsner or something.

I like beer. It's my favorite alcoholic beverage. I like ales, stouts, and porters the best. I have no taste for IPAs. I prefer the fancy Belgian/German stuff, but I can drink a Budweiser, Dos Equis, and the like just fine.

I'm pretty sure one of the major factors on why I don't drink is I find the taste of beer appalling. I could never drink a beer with a meal, it would completely ruin it for me.

I always thought beer tasted like pass. Growing up they always made it look so tasty in the commercials and I imagined it wood taste like cream soda but nope...fuzzy piss.

Over the last 20 years I have tried a few different beers just for tasting purpose and I remember finding a lambic the least vomit inducing but that was years ago. I have had a Corona light two on new years eve a few years back.

{<huh}

Beer is great but its an acquired taste obviously. You have to try different types and you'll probably find a style you like. If not then you can always stick to zima and moscato like the other ladies

The whole beer culture is pretty funny to me, not the normal people that just enjoy it, but the over the top beer is life guy that questions the manhood of anybody that doesn't like what he likes. I haven't had a drink myself in a few years, and I don't ever have the urge for one. To answer the question, yes beer tastes like ass until you acquire a taste for it, and by acquire a taste I mean if you drink enough you will eventually not mind the taste and after even more drinking you might actually start to like the way it tastes and then you're well on your way.

Lol at hating beer but liking vodka.

Vodka is a mans drink that stuff is 40%

There are so may here some brewed locally in villages but they seem soo strong.

There is one my mate drinks it's like 15% and he gets so drunk off a few.

I defo agree with you on the brand stuff, that Bud Light, Budwesier, Fosters etc is flavoured water at best.

Disagree.

I like all types of beers

White trash beers, craft beers. Fuckin malt liquor. I don't give a shit it's all delicious

No longer a drinker, but beer was and still is, delicious. It is an acquired taste, generally. I loved any sort of ale, and my favorite beer was Samuel Adams' Octoberfest, although they aren't sold year round.

I used to be a big snob, but eventually realized that beer is binary for me.

Either I like it or I don't. I'm kinda jealous that there are people who enjoy $3 six-packs.

Not really a fan a beer. It doesn't taste good. If my goal is to get wasted, then it works.

Cartoons made beer look like it tasted delicious. Not so much...

Like all alcohol, I'm not drinking it for the flavor.

i hear you. part of that is the environment they live in. i come across this a lot when i go up to sonoma and mendocino counties here in california for beer tastings. it's similar to wine. actually, it's even more prevalent with wine. if you live in these areas, you're going to be surrounded by aficionados who have beer and wine as hobbies.

Some of the Beer I've drank tastes like sailors piss. Fucking salty gunky distilled urine. Other Beers taste like fucking smoky urine.

Some Beer is okay.

I'm more of a Wine & Spirits guy myself.

Don't worry about these clowns deriding your masculinity for not liking the stuff. They've just fallen victim to the Beer cartel and their propaganda. Beer is culturally iconic in many places. It's similar to the Pizza cartel. You get these folks acting like Pizza is the number one food on the planet, the absolute clowns.

IPAs are disgusting, beer isn't though.
