Anyone else think 156 is the best card EVER?

Awesome card.

Is Lil Nog considered a legend?

I think he's going to give Rashad a lot more trouble than the odds makers do.

I wouldnt say he's a legend. I think he is a top 10 LHW(6-10) all time and will give Rashad problems. I wont be surprised to see either guy take this fight.

It's a good card but is far from the greatest:

Aldo v Edgar - an amazing fight - a long dominating champ vs a top 3 p4p fighter
Overeem v Bigfoot - a mismatch, UFC is feeding Bigfoot to make Reem look good
Evans v Diet Nog - another mismatch, we know how Lil Nog does against top wrestlers
Fitch v Maia - a really good fight
McCall v Benevides - not a bad fight but the FlW division is not the most interesting

... Edgar isn't a long dominating champ...

may not be the best card, but yeah the list is awesome. now we'll just have to see the fights for it to be considered a really great card

On paper it is awesome.

But history shows that doesn't mean shit. Everyone was expecting so much from Cowboy-Pettis, however I didn't expect a war because one of them was going to go down early. Look at the Page-Shad fight. And countless others.

I share your sentiment though TS, I have a vested interest in a fighter in every fighter in each fight on the main card. Can't wait!

WAR EDGAR

Funny, but when was the last time Aldo (or Jones) fought a significantly bigger fighter?

That doesn't matter. If all fighters were the same size the only people I have beating Aldo are Silva, Jones and GSP. And they're all close fights that could go either way in my opinion. But that just my opinion.

Would've been even better if Machida-Hendo stayed on the card.

yeah uh no, see why does it always have to that far? On one side you have the butthurt Ufc fanboy mad I dared even mention Pride and then you have the butthurt elitist Pride fanboy who's just as delusional.

Why does my mind have to be plagued by the fact I am a logical person? Why can't I just blind myself with nuthuggery like most of you fools?

Right, so your opinion is the logical one.

Your opinion that certain cards can "never be topped" is logical.

Bullshit. That kind of statement comes from a place of sentimentality, nostalgia, and the very same "fanboy"ism you accuse me of.

As I said in the edit, those cards you named weren't even the best Pride cards.

And to further defend my logical neutrality (as if I even had to,) the UFC right now has the best fighters any org has ever had. Should it be shocking that they've also put out the best cards in history?

Its a very good card in terms of name power. Lots of potential for some letdowns though.

Rashad is often insanely boring, but hopefully Nogs BJJ either makes things more interesting, or prevents him being a blanket.

Same story for Fitch/Maia. Honestly I dont even care if the fight sucks though, I just want to see who will prevail.

The other 3 should definitely be fun though.

It's the most certain I've felt about buying a PPV in quite a while, that's for sure.

I just hope frankie doesn't turn this title fight into another controversial decision.

The Mazz is reffing the fight, and A.B. is one of the judges for the evening. Throw in the Edgar effect, I'd say there is a pretty good chance something gets fucked up.
