Lol not shopping at wal mart makes you a hipster? Wal mart is a shithole that wrecks the economies of small towns, and has the absolute worst customer service of just about any business Ive ever been to. I actually had a wal mart employee run away from me once to avoid answering a question.
The same can be said for basically every other major company in the US. Do yo like Apple products? Apple is socially worse than Walmart.
Do you have cable TV from a major carrier? Do you shop on Amazon, at Best Buy, etc...? Do you own any name brand electronics? Do you own a computer or a TV? Then you are contributing to slave labor, forced child labor and sweat shops, oligopolies, etc...
Then why draw the line at Walmart? That's just silly. Oh, I'll buy this item that was put together by a 6 year old, under some of the worst conditions on the planet, who is paid with tokens so she can only spend the money at the company store, but I will not buy it at Walmart. I have standards you know.

Also, nothing quite like anecdotal evidence to prove your point about their customer service. Walmart instructs their employees to avoid helping customers, and in turn, saves you a few bucks on your bill at checkout. I think I'll go ahead and put my thinking cap on and venture to navigate Walmart on my own, and take the savings. How much could someone dumb enough to work at Walmart help you anyway?
At least the people that work there aren't on commission based salaries; we all know how wonderful and ethical those employees are.
