Anyone else getting increasingly annoyed at the BS they say when hyping a fight?

This is something that has always annoyed me a bit as they don't care how stupid the things they say are. Everyone with a belt is the baddest person on the planet. I remember when Dana was hyping a BJ Penn fight and when referencing his freak athleticism said something like "He's one of only three people in the planet that can jump out of a swimming pool without using his hands".

Then this weekend, something like "Meisha is the baddest woman on the planet... Except Ronda" lol

I know people say the IQ of your average fight fan is low, but it's as though their promo videos are produced with children in mind as they'll just eat up whatever BS they hear. I suppose making the company look unprofessional isn't an issue as Dana does a good enough job at that just with his general behavior.

It kills the vibe for me many times. Even though I know what they are saying is shit it subconsciously builds up expectation and therefore I end up more disappointed than I should have if the event was mediocre or bad.

Being that I know the sport, I'm able to scoff at what they say because I realize the actual possibilities of each fighter. The casuals however don't know any better and probably think Rousey truly is a superhuman and Brock is the baddest dude on the planet.
