Anyone else find it endearing/confusing that GSP is still training like an animal

I follow GSP on facebook. The guy is constantly training. Literally since he retired he hasn't stopped traveling and training. He is still pushing the limits of his body every single day.

It either means he definitely plans to return...
or he is completely addicted to training.

I mean he has all the money in the world to kick back, eat at good restaurants, have a family and still he chooses to train like a fiend and travel pretty much solely to train with new people...

You have to admire the guys work ethic/love of the sport.

He needs to be ready to beat down the Irish when the opportunity presents itself. To give Conor and his fans the granny panty night they deserve.

Got plenty of $$ trains because he's a gym rat. It's normal.

Here is GSP's MMA debut

He gained about 15 pounds from that age until his MMA prime. He is pretty much the same guy. He is a prodigy with an incredible work ethic who became the greatest champion this sport has ever seen.

GSP's just preparing to lead the resistance against our future Alien overlords.

He's a martial artist. What do you expect him to do?

Even from the moment he semi-retired, he said he's leaving it open as to whether he'll come back. So we know he wasn't lying.

GSP wrote the book on how to be considered the best on the planet without competing. Semi, sort of retired, still training despite not being active, noncommittal about fighting again, keeping his name out there...

This.

WTF

You guys are pathetic. The guy never popped and looked identical in the on and off season. He looks the exact same he did when he was younger. The guys who are guilty are the ones like Anderson whose physique changed drastically.

Gsp tapped to strikes.

What if he took time off to bulk up to HW and come back to cement himself as the non-arguable GOAT?

Not everyone is a lazy worthless sac like Ronda.

Gsp tapped to strikes.

-Silva lost to four random guys in Japan, got KO'd while dancing, tested positive and lost to Bisping.

-Fedor (Whom I love) had an amazing career but never fought in the UFC and had some big losses towards the end of his career despite being relatively young in the fight game. He chose to not chase redemption with conviction and go after Bigfoot and Werdum.
-Unfortunately...he did get KO'd by a LHW Dan Henderson

-GSP fought all comers, innovated the game like the two mentioned above. Avenged both his losses in devastating fashion. Rarely ever lost rounds even after ACL surgery. The close decision to Hendricks happened...after ACL tear, after GSP intended to retire, when Johny refused WADA testing and GSP went ahead and did WADA testing. Johnnies body looked fantastic for the GSP fight...we all know the epic struggles he's had with the scale since the introduction of more stringent testing.

It's how he keeps his $ponsors longer, so he can milk it for as long as possible.

I love training.
All the things you said - food, fun, women, etc. - he can do that because hes rich, but why not enjoy pushing yourself to your limits, too? Its personal, meditative, visceral, and leaves you satisfied. A hobby that feels good.
Im more surprised when guys are fat and lazy. You have all that time and money and youd rather live like a Roman Senator than an athlete?

Gsp is boring.
Gsp is canadian.
Gsp got his ass kicked by Hendrix and decided to quit because he was to afraid to lose rather than give the guy a rightfully earned rematch.
