Anyone else feel like Aldo/Edgar is for the vacant title

I think if Conor was confident as he's praised he would have took the Aldo rematch immediately

Dude to be totally fair Aldo pulled out in June 2015 and they fought 6 months later and he got finished decisively. It wouldn't have been fair to McGregor who had planned ahead from that fight on to bigger things.

That division is all screwed up. Conor has no business fighting at Featherweight. He's a natural lightweight. I just re-watched the Mendes/Conor fight and it's a freakshow fight. With that said he is the champion so Aldo/Edgar must beat the oversized champion to restore order to that division.

I don't think he can repeat and he knows it.You thought the Nate loss hurt his name let Aldo sleep him and see what happens overnight

there are a lot of babies in this thread lol

That's far from the point. Whatever Conor may have made of that fight, he was ready to go onto the next one. Don't let his cockiness get in the way of seeing his fair opportunities. He beat Aldo very quickly, like he predicted, and so he got a chance to move on from that.

No Aldo should have got an immediate rematch period

Conor just got his ass fucking whooped and he deserves one lol

What I would have done is given Conor his shot at LW but against a title contender rather than the champ. After that fight a rematch with Aldo.

The way you're talking you want Conor to focus on Aldo for potentially a year and a half. That's too much unbroken time to be spent on one match up.

That's to logical

The funny thing is, jose will ultimately end up with the belt anyway. Conor won't be able to continue making 145lbs for long (if ever again). And Edgar has already stated his intention to drop down. this leaves Aldo and Holloway to carry145
Has Edgar said he will drop down weather he wins the belt or not? I always took it as he would only consider it if he wins the 145 strap

Edgar stated that if he beat Aldo, he wanted to move down to 135 and be the first ever 3 division champion. Its unclear whether he will drop down to 135 immediately regardless, and if Conor will move back down. If he wins but its interim, and Conor returns, I can't see him ducking Conor to fight Cruz. Its clear though that he intends to move to Bantamweight before he retires.
