He looks like he is really trying to straighten himself out. I feel sorry for these types that just can't stop themselves from doing stupid shit.

I know some wise guy might say 'feel sorry for the pregnant woman instead boo hoo', but knowing you had it in you to hit and run a pregnant woman and trying to move past it and become a better man is a terrible thing to live with too

That's where the problem lies right there. I feel for any twerp who grew up without a father and is seeking a positive role model in his life(like the vast majority of sherdog), but why the fuck would you look at sports to find him? Athletes are like any other celebrity. They're fake and only in it for themselves and have absolutely nothing in common with the common man.

You can take lessons from sports that don't apply to sports. Work hard. Show determination. Keep fighting when things get tough.

Again, I didn't say Jones was a role model.. just someone I like to watch fight because he is one of the best ever at his craft.. but I'm just answering your question why people do that.

JJ was muh Fav fighter but then he stopped fighting... So yea a fan when he fights. I don't bother with the tertiary fluff of personalities, etc. That's fer the hens and croosters...
