I’ve never watched him or anything. Wondering if it will be worth it, $150 for 2 days nogi

i have, years ago, before he won ADCC.

honestly i don't remember much from it, other than the fact that he was very cool and very friendly. i guess it was like any other seminar, the guy showing a bunch of moves that seem cool at the time but then a month later you don't remember any of it.

i was a purple belt at the time and everyone was sparring after class, i hit a nice kimura backtake on someone and he saw it and went "niiiiice backtake purple belt guy!"

i'd go for it if it's a smaller group. 2 days of training with a high level jiu jitsu competitor like him, being able to pick his brain on the few positions that give me trouble... sounds like a bargain. but if there's 100 people there, then i doubt you'll really get much out of it.

Wow, interesting you don't remember those moves.
Did you take notes?
I did a gi seminar with Daniel Gracie in 2002, and I still hit the shit he showed.
He basically showed us two moves and we drilled them the entire time. I feel like that's more effective than showing a bunch of stuff.

The moves were his back attack, chaining a collar choke from the back to an armbar, and vice versa; and a quick armbar to counter a stiffarm when you've done the two legged sweep we all learn at white belt, and they are trying to stop you from sitting up to mount them.

Of course, the Gracies' greatest accomplishment is being fantastic teachers in my opinion.
