I am not a big pro-wrestling fan, however, every once in a while out of boredom I will check out a show or two to see if Im entertained. The other night I watched the latest TNA show and although I expected it to be low budget, I didnt expect it to be as whacked out as it was. Check out this promo:

I was never that big into WWE but what the hell kind of character is Matt Hardy playing? Dracula? Is TNA having all their talent act like nutjobs just to attract casual viewers or what?

I watched it religiously from around 2007 to 2012 but I stopped after a lot of their best talent went away and Hogan ran the company into the fucking ground. It was a great show back when they had guys like Amazing Red, the MCMG's, AJ Styles, Suicide, Daniels, ect. putting on 5 star matches every week but when Hogan came along, ran off all the high flyers, killed the tag team division, and brought in a bunch of old fucks that stopped being relevant 20 years ago I had to stop watching. These days they've recovered a bit since the Hogan era but their product still ranges from pretty good to down right awful, Drew Galloway, Mandrews, Spud, and few others are pretty good in ring but the story lines are awful and the Hardy's absolutely suck.

That Hardy's thing is what happens when you let wrestlers have carte blanche on their characters and storylines.

I stopped peeking in on TNA ever since they were dropped by Spike, I don't even know what the show is like now.

They need to improve their product.

Not going to lie, I watched that promo and when Matt said "Let's go back to where it all began" I wanted him to walk into the barn and Edge would just be banging Lita, and when Matt turns around he sees Jeff hitting a meth pipe. Thus explaining why he looks how he looks and why he changed his speaking voice. This video is genuinely one of the worst things I have ever seen in wrestling...and I have watched 1994 WCW dungeon of doom stuff....

Thanks for keeping me from hitting play.

Lol what the fuck did I just watch!?!? I've caught a few segments on TNA the last few months and was surprised at how ridiculously low budget it looks now. Nothing like this though, that was just fucking sad.

I watch regularly. Matt hardy has been awful lately.
Lashley is excellent. I like Bram and Eli drake.

I think it was not too long ago that they had a tournament that lasted forever, a champ was crowned, then a week later the belt switched hands pretty much killing any momentum and importance of the tournament.

Never really watch TNA. That promo was one of the worst things I've ever seen. How embarrassing.

I might if I had the slightest clue what channel it was on

I watched TNA for the first time ever Saturday night when I had Slamiversary 2016 on while waiting to go to the movies. Almost every match had a weak ending, the production values were terrible, the announce team was possibly the worst I've ever heard. Everything about it was bad.

1994 wasn't DoD. Sullivan, Bucther, and Avalanche were the Three Faces of Fear.

edit: I butchered that spelling.

I hadn't actually watched the promo in the OP until just now.

Words can't even describe it.

Religious viewer from 2004-2006 (the boom years).

It's funny, because Russo left at the end of '04, and the product magically became awesome, and then he returned at the end of '06, and it became the shits again.

It's gone downhill since then, with the slight exception of the early 2010 Hogan/Bischoff excitement—until we realized that they learned nothing from WCW and went back to their old playbook of bringing in WWE guys and positioning themselves above all of the homegrown talent.

you sir, are a scholar and a gentleman for correcting me on this...I meant 1995 the first 5 minutes of that....

Holy shit! Thankyouthankyouthankyou for posting that!

Three thoughts that came of that:
1) If you were to explain Kevin Sullivan to a non-wrestling fan, there is not a chance in hell that they would believe he exists.
2) My initial reaction to that opening was along the lines of "fat gay retard Jumanji."
3) Upon saying that out loud, I've been laughing out loud to myself for nearly twenty minutes. Belly laughs where my asshole puckers a little.
