Was just thinking of that movie and I thought Mickey and Conor are similar in a way that they both have one punch KO power. Also Mickey's pikey accent isn't much different than Conors accent with the exception that you can actually understand what Conor is saying.

With that being said I just want to let it be known that I'm a huge fan of the movie Snatch, its up there in my top ten list of favorite movies. However, I'm not a McGregor fanboy and I will be rooting for Nate to shock the world come March 5th.

Well, Conor is a real life Irishman that fights for a living and Brad Pitt was mimicking an Irishman that fights for a living, so it's a compliment to Pitt that you see similarities between him and Conor.

Haha, which one of you is Wastelanding threads with the quickness tonight? I approve. Rex Kwon Do bless.

I'm assuming it's one of you noobs because the older mods usually didn't clean the place up until there was a 4 foot high mound of dried crap in the corner, figuratively speaking.

Was Pitt portraying an Irishman? I know he was a gypsy but I'm pretty sure they were in or around London. I knew that what he spoke wasn't quite English, wasn't quite Irish....it was just pickey.

Oh it got wastelanded.. o well, I also like that movie a lot.

Yea Nate is cool and so is Conor, I'm on the fence on who to root for maybe 55% in favor of Nate but then again a Conor win would be also be fun and will lead in more good and hyped fights. I have a feeling Conor would pull it off.

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels 1998, Snatch. 2000, RocknRolla 2008 those are good movies.

you like dags?

More then cats :p

I'm going to go ahead and tell myself that no longer can any Conor thread surprise me anymore but it's making myself believe that.

AFAIK there are many Irish Travellers in the UK. The Mickey character was one of them.

Plus I remember seeing a video (probably from Buzzfeed) where they had Irish people watch clips of films where non-Irish actors portrayed Irish characters and had them evaluate the accents. They pretty much unanimously praised Brad Pitt for his portrayal of Mickey. If those Irish people considered it a type of Irish accent, that's good enough for me.
