Im conflicted. It is exciting that Moicano is getting the shot, but I think we lost a better fight.

I would've preferred the original man event, but Islam has a chance at breaking a record and Moicano has a chance at creating possibly the biggest upset in UFC history so at least there is that.

No, still mourning the loss of the original main event which I had been waiting months for.

I know Moicano is popular but he's a career journeyman who's had a Masvidal like late career resurgence. Stylistically, Islam is a terrible match up for him. Dariush or even Grant Dawson would have been more interesting opponents for Islam than Moicano.

UFC was to impress the world with their first 2025 PPV Main Event extravaganza featuring the "P4P" GOAT Islam.

Nah, but the Arman fight wasn't that interesting either. Arman was more likely to lose a decision with a slight possibility of maybe landing something on the break from a clinch, Moicano is more of a sub threat but is also more likely to get finished himself.

Ole Islam doesn't do damage while on top, and Moicano is legit on the ground. I don't see Islam doing much of anything while on the ground.
