So I have this nagging pain on my floating rib after a training partner transitioned from side to modified kesa, it's been this way for 2 weeks and the pain has not lessened. Any tips?

Both times I've popped a rib, only time healed them up. The first time hurt more but was about 3 weeks until it started feeling better. The second time it hurt less but was nagging for about 5 weeks. Just about everything I did in jiu jitsu aggregated them so a couple weeks of the mat might be your best bet.

A few years ago I pivoted the wrong way during a sparring session and subsequently received a full blown, flush roundhouse on my floating ribs, nothing broke but they were sore for a very long time. Forget weeks, I had to wait months to recover. I've heard hurt ribs take longer than broke ribs to heal - don't know how true that is but it took forever for me to recover

So rest for my ribs and vagisil for my vag, right

Time, dont force it coming back. Separated my ribs twice in my first two years and luckily hasn't happened since.

If you guys had a rib injury you have trouble to sleep on the rib side?

I can't sleep with my belly down since i hurt my rib.

Rest, but not too much. The pain won't get any worse.
