The Title say's it all. Any Sherdoggers with a heart Condition, or any other medical conditions.

I was diagnosed with Wolf Parkinson White Syndrom about 8-9 years ago. WPW is an extra electrical pathway in your heart and causes arrhythmia's. Luckily it's one of the less serious heart conditions and I usually forget I even have it. But the last week of so it has been acting up pretty bad!

If you aren't already taking them, look into unsaturated fatty acids like fish oil, hemp oil, or flax seed oil. Unsaturated fatty acids dissolve saturated fat build up in the blood vessels and makes shit easier on your heart.

If you're healthy enough, do some cardio to strengthen your heart.

I do eat fish and almonds every week. And yes I'm healthy, It's something I was born with and have been playing competitive sports my whole life. Luckily my WPW is not too serious, although sometimes I have to go to hospital for racing heart, twice in the past 8-9 years. Some people with WPW have more severe cases than I do.

That's awesome and I'm glad to hear that you're life hasn't really been effected by it.

The guy's a fighter. I'm sure that he's got the cardio covered.

Sadly I more than likely will have one as i get older. My family has a very bad history with heart problems.

- My mom got a pacemaker at the age of 43
- Multiple heart problems on my dad's side
- I had an irregular heartbeat that needed to be dealt with when i was younger

Why not prevent it from happening?

my mom is incredibly healthy and works out often. She just occasionally fainted and the doctors knew about this and have tried to help. Eventually it resulted in a
pacemaker.

I work out 2 hours everyday so stuff like this doesn't happen but it's one of those things where i feel like its destined to happen because of my families history

I may have one. Doctor put it down as anxiety though.

I figure I can trust him, after about 6 ECGs/EKGs and an echocardiogram and wearing a heart monitor for a month and he says shit looks fine I suppose I have to agree.

Still scary though. I really do think it was the anxiety though now because ever since I wore the monitor I've only had like two or three heart palpitations. Before that I was getting multiple ones daily.

Also cut out caffeine almost completely, because before when I was anxious I would have racing heart and palpitations if I had a cup of coffee. Finally decided to test it out, and I had three cups the other day and absolutely no issues.

I was diagnosed three years ago with HNNNNNG Syndrome. There is no cure. Keep me in your prayers.

Nothing yet diagnosed, but I have been having some hard pounding heart issues. It is most noticeable when I wake up from a nap. My heart will be thudding away. Sometimes when I walk up a flight of steps and then take a piss, I notice my heart beats more rapidly. But I can do strenuous activities without that problem.

I too have some issues in my family, but most of them were in their 60's before anything real bad. I hope you can hold it off, or maybe you wont even have any problems at all...

Everyone looks the same on mobile.

Oh. I don't ever use mobile, becuase my Blackberry is a piece of crap and it takes too long to bother with. The G is switching us over to iPhones soon. Maybe then I will.

Not to scare you. I had multiple test done more than once until they found the WPW. Sometimes it takes a while to find the problem. But I am sure you are fine thats just what happend to me. Finally 6 months later they cought it...

I am pretty much the same way. Now and again I will have a flutter or some heart pounding. But 99% of the time it doesn't happen while training. The only exeption was on Monday when I had SVT (Super Ventricular Tachycardia) which was pretty scary!

Yeah. Everyone except green names and the mods looks the same.
