Any other examples of champions getting dominated like Dominic Cruz vs Cody Garbrandt?

If Cruz won th 5th and the 1st, how was so embarassing?

You have Usman vs Woodley, you have Jones vs Shogun, you have Izzy vs Strickland and so many other fights where the champion lost all rounds or was finished badly, like Aldo.

Cruz had actually more significant strikes and more total strikes.
He lost 3-2.

Jones hate was smooth there...think how EASY Jones dismantled Shogun, Mcgregor vs Alvarez.
 
I don’t think jones vs Reyes is one of the most one-sided victories of all time. You could make an argument that Reyes won a round, maybe 2.

You're as bad as TS max won 2 rounds there, hell he convinced himself he won even.

A clear win for Volk but he didn't dominate and neither did Cody.
 
I started making a list of the worst championship dethronings of all time, but after looking them all up, I realized just how stupid the original picks were. A fight where someone lost 2 rounds and a fight where someone didn't even win are the most dominating wins over a champion? I'll just include championships that went to decision that were much more one-sided than those.

I'll go in order of weight from high to low, since that's how the list on wikipedia is.

Couture beat Sylvia 50-45 and was never in any danger
Cain destroyed JDS in their second fight, 50-45, 50-44, 50-43
Sean Strickland beat Israel 49-46 and was never in any danger (thought this was 50-45, but I'll still include it)
Usman took Woodley's belt 50-44 and was never in any danger
RDA easily dominated Pettis 50-45
Nunes Destroyed Pena with the same scores as Cain vs. JDS

Those are just the ones that went to decision. Obviously, times like Franklin vs Silva 1 or Aldo vs Macgregor are worse overall. This is a weird topic.
