Any news on khamzat's visa issues ?

Is he condemned to fight once a year in Abu Dhabi ?

I read that he never got swedish citizenship and only has Russian citizenship.

The problem with Khamzat is that he openly pals around with a dictator, that's problably what's responsible for any travel issues he may have, not being Russian.

I had a long drawn out post about this months ago, but it literally boils down to this. His palling around with Kadyrov and being a loud boisterous moron about it while showing off the hundreds of thousands if not millions in gifts he lavished with, attracted State Department attention.
I guess screaming "Allahu Ackbar I kill eberybody" on 9/11 certainly didn't help his case.
I can't help but believe he's going to just fizzle out eventually if he isn't allowed to fight in the US and I doubt the UFC actually wants a champion that can't fight in the country, no matter how "marketable" they may think he is.
Khamzat's own stupidity may have made him completely radioactive, but time will tell.

Notice also the interviews he gives. He has a very aggressive stance against Israel, at some point he even challenged the “strongest man in Israel” to a fight. Silly stuff, but coupled with gold plated weapons and Kadyrov nut hugging, it’s certainly not giving him a good look in the eyes of the west. Conjecture on my part, but still…

This. Plus they probably don't want to book a fight at WW because he's demonstrated he'll wreck a PPV event by not making weight, and there's no one to fight at MW who could get him to a title shot. Du Plessis is fighting Strickland, Whittaker is scheduled to fight Costa, Adesanya says he's out until '27. I'm thinking Cannonier and Vettori are avoiding him.
