hi i am trying to remove the stigma from the emo sub culture.

that's why id like to know if anyone here is, or has ever been an emo.

also will you be accepted in the emo circle of u are 27 and have never been emo but u want a new direction in life?

cheers tonni

Didn't Emos just get older and evolve into hipsters?

Just start listening to New Found Glory and Sunny Day Real Estate and you'll get there.

Always mystifyed me that pop punk was considered some great emotional outlet, shouldn't kids me going around with Mark Hollis T-shirts?

I love you.

And I like emo music (the real emo, not the poppy mall shit) but don't identify as one.

its less defined though
I disagree. If anything, SJW is more defined, as the term implies a specific set of idealogical beliefs, selfrighteousness, verbal aggression to compensate for a lack of sound reasoning, and inflated sense of entitlement.

An ex-emo who isn't "ex" because of suicide is a failure as an emo.

I went through a goth faze in high school. That was the 90s equivalent actually.

Do these people still exist?

I remember them in high school 15 years ago, I wonder if they are the people I see who live under bridges

I also did a gawf phase. But got mistaken for an emo bc my arms were cut up worse than Christmas turkey.
