Probably because over 2000 unwanted dogs are euthanized every day in America. Why?

Good breeders breed for temperament, which is a great quality when you have young kids in the house. Any pet is a wildcard to some degree, but the pets I’ve bought from breeders have been great with kids. I’ve rescued also, but I’d rather help mitigate that risk when young kids are involved. I wouldn’t make a blanket statement to swear off all breeders.Probably because over 2000 unwanted dogs are euthanized every day in America.
I agree, and don't swear off all breeders.Good breeders breed for temperament, which is a great quality when you have young kids in the house. Dog breeders are scum. Only marginally more despicable than the dolts who buy from breeders while shelters strain to manage the existing overpopulation and regularly have to euthanize healthy dogs.
Huskies r dope if i lived higher north I'd have got one.
Don't let that deter you. I had one in Tennessee. She was fine.
Why don't you tell us how many of those are from breeders, and how many are from POS owners that let their fucking animals wander free, and never get them fixed?Probably because over 2000 unwanted dogs are euthanized every day in America.
I didn't say they're all from breeders. Merely put out a number, as a suggestive answer to a question asked of another poster. Calm down. Why don't you tell us how many of those are from breeders, and how many are from POS owners that let their fucking animals wander free, and never get them fixed?
I swear this place has the dumbest people I've ever encountered.
But it's not an answer, in any way at all. The animals put to sleep are strays and aggressive animals, not pure bred, papered animals. Not to say they aren't good pets, but breeders have nothing to do with animals being put to sleep. Most breeders have a couple batches of pups per year, and do it primarily to continue the breed and perhaps a particular bloodline.I didn't say they're all from breeders. Need a French Bulldog in my life.
