Any Advice for a first time Web designer?

If it's for a friend selling a few things, just keep it as simple as possible. Look up some templates for an hour until you have a good idea of what looks good, then use the template you like most.

Also, webp. Don't forget to compress and convert all images to webp. Blows my mind how many people overlook this and slap 5mb images all over their site. Makes me mad.
