I remember the "original" snopes and it was fine for looking up myths or urban legends or the like. I think they lost their minds and went off the rails when W was POTUS and it became so far left politically and full of spin that it immediately lost any value it once had.

Wasn't about losing their mind. It was about that dark money, ie Soros cash to make up stories like people were saying he was an SS officer (something no one heard of) till Snopes used that to "debunk" the myth of Soros being a Nazi collaborator, that was started by him, when he told a national audience that he participated in confiscation of Jewish property for the Nazis. So instead of having to admit he said that he was a collaborator, they had to make up a story about him being accused of being an SS officer to deflect.

It's what they do. If you see something alleged about a left-winger being called "Mostly False" or "Mixuture" you know it's true.

And as I've said for years now, allowing them to wear masks is what is causing this. Enforce the law and arrest anyone wearing a mask. Then antifa is free to peacefully protest or whatever and if something happens, they can be identified.

They use the leftist "fact checkers" at PolitiFact (famous for naming statements by conservatives as Lie of the Year during election years, which later turn out to be the truth) and the Washington Post.

Part of the problem with all this partisan extremism is that both sides are scum and deserve whatever happens to them (Andy Ngo is human garbage, and the poster of this tweet, Ian Miles Cheong is a complete piece of shit--he was a hardcore far right left lunatic then suddenly woke up one day and decided to be a far right lunatic), but finally we have what appears to be two innocent men who get absolutely shredded. They deserve justice. Antifa needs to be policed and everyone involved in these attacks needs to be tried for attempted murder.

The people of Portland need to oust the mayor pronto. He's the one who basically declared himself police commissioner and he is forcing the police to ignore the conditions that allow for this sort of thing.
