Those aren't mutually exclusive and, as much as I hate defaulting to boring opinions like this, I think both are true. Antifa's antics are almost certainly counter-productive.

Part of the problem with all this partisan extremism is that both sides are scum and deserve whatever happens to them (Andy Ngo is human garbage, and the poster of this tweet, Ian Miles Cheong, is a complete piece of shit--he was a hardcore far left lunatic then suddenly woke up one day and decided to be a far right lunatic), but finally we have what appears to be two innocent men who get absolutely shredded. They deserve justice. Antifa needs to be policed and everyone involved in these attacks needs to be tried for attempted murder.
