You said he probably did something to warrant the reaction, and maybe that's partly true in the "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" sense, but that doesn't change that this should be unacceptable in the United States, and there's no indication he wasn't being peaceful. That's also some pretty nasty victim-blaming, like shaming a sexily-dressed woman for being sexually assaulted.
True and I am not saying they shouldn't be dealt with harshly but I think there is a slippery slope in invoking the label of terrorist against fellow Americans given the extraordinary powers the government has granted itself in dealing with terrorism specifically. I am not trying to dismiss the issue here, Antifa is clearly in the wrong and poisoning the national discourse by normalizing political violence. Whenever they act like thugs like this they should be dealt with harshly. But we don't need to designate them as terrorists to do so, just charge them with the relevant crime and throw the book at them.
