I think the "he is my bitch for life" thing is what people were laughing at, because its easy to laugh at Smith saying something so stupid. The guy has spent most of his career a journeyman.

Now when you lose a fight, you go and collect some wins and earn your way back to a higher ranked fight again. That is exactly what Spann has done, so he's not speaking out of turn.

Without a sense of irony, Anthony is talking about how he deserves top ranked opponents and title eliminators after beaten Spann and two other guys, separating his back to back losses.

Anthony fights a guy like Glover and literally gets his teeth knocked out. But he wants those top ranked guys again because he beat Spann. But Spann doesn't deserve a #5 ranked opponent "for life"

Smith isn't the brightest guy.
