Media Anthony Joshua training for MMA?

He looks a little too stiff in the kicking. No power being generated from the hips.

On the flip side, he is an incredible athlete. He can leverage his athleticism to learn quickly. He is still young so he can pick up some good TDD and kicking to back up his enormous punching power. Still, the Ngannou knockout was completely epic.

It's weird to think that I'm a lot better at kicking than Anthony Joshua is, but here we are.

I probably couldn't land one before he knocked me completely unconscious though.

He lost to Kimbo but he did get up from one of the takedowns. And he was a dinousaur.
All respect to Mercer, I don't mind who crosses over and finds success. If some boxer had Cro Cop TDD, he'd be a monster in any division.

No boxer has TDD
No MMA fighter has hands and defensive reflexes for boxing like a boxer

Agreed. The boxing vs MMA shit should've died so much longer ago. Jake Paul kept the flames lit too long. There's an argument they can cross train if they are young enough, but we see fans pay for established and veteran boxers/mma fighters try the other sport at the end of their career and it's stupid.

It s not stupid,if it makes money it makes sense.

However it doesnt represent any competitive interest.

I don't get why fans care about money. It feels weird to see the Ngannou situation where hardcore mma fans are happy to see Fury/AJ/Renan play out over the alternative Ngannou vs Jones/Aspinall/Pavlovich, just because Ngannou made more money. Ngannou was either walking through one path or another. He's going to have millions either way.

I get the logic why money take precedence over true sport matchups from a promotion's perspective. But it bugs me where hardcore fans are almost happy to live vicariously through their favorite fighters that make money, even if it means we miss out watching the real fight matchups.

Fans dont but fighters and promoters do.
They know what moves the needle or at least in a very loose sense.
