Ribas’ full statement:
“This is Amanda Ribas. I am fighter under contract to the UFC. Recently one of my anti doping tests performed by USADA came out positive for the steroid Ostarine.

“This would have been my debut in the UFC and the fulfillment of my dream!

“Those who know me, know my opinion and thoughts on PEDs. I was a Brazilian National Judo team member, and I am a professional MMA fighter. I have always been completely against any kind of cheating and the use of any of these kinds of products!

“When the test came back positive, I, along with my manager and trainer, gathered all the supplements and medicines I had been using, and sent them to USADA to try to find out how this had shown up in my body. Not only had I not used it, up until that moment, I had never even heard of Ostarine!

“After spending a lot of money on the testing of the supplements (which is paid for by the athlete), we were unable to find Ostarine in any of the products. However, we did find clumbeterol, which also is a forbidden substance, but oddly enough, never showed up in my tests.

“I have never used anything like this in my life, and I feel extremely humiliated and victimized at being punished for something I did not do. The fact that clumbeterol appeared in one of my supplements shows the poor quality and low standards of many of the supplement products on sale in Brazil and worldwide. For sure, I used a supplement that contained traces of Ostarine, but since it never occurred to me that things like this could happen, I must have used it up and thrown it away.

“It happened to me, and it has happened to other Brazilian athletes as well as athletes from other countries. I want to declare my innocence, and leave an urgent warning to all other athletes in Brazil and worldwide. This happens! It represents a huge risk to our lives and our careers! I will make it my mission to tell the world what happened to me, so that maybe I can avoid it happening to somebody else!

“I will serve my suspension, I will train hard, and I will come back and become UFC Champion!”

Eat clen, tren hard, test your limits, anavar give up

I can see why she's that upset, but on the other hand this is just repeating over and over again to the point, where fighter B can just copy what fighter A wrote before, just replace the name.

Again, I can see why she's upset, but in my opinion she would have done better if she just shut up and focused on her commission hearing.

I don't know...she was a Brazilian national Judo team member and those guys are like the inquisition when it comes to steroid abuse

Listen carefully the people who are clean do not have issues they don't have to explain anything to whomever, the reason they use this excuse is legal purposes because if they can find a loophole saying they did not know what they took they have a chance of beating it that is all that is for. They are as guilty as sin itself it is all about trying to win the court battle is when the excuses show their ugly head. Clean people don't have shit pop up like tainted blah blah blah and anybody who believes them are as dumb as the excuse itself. I love when Anderson Silva tried blaming his doctor and his doctor said oh hell no buddy you are not pinning your bullshit on me.

'I must have used it and thrown it away', give me a break. Popped before debut how stupid can you be.

After all these cases you'd think athletes would stop taking supplements.

A lot test for Ostarine that shit must be in our toothpaste or something

Stopped reading after I saw the words "Brazilian Judo Team"

It horrible to be accused of something like this and being innocent and if that’s the case I feel bad for her. However this seems to be the go to excuse for all the cheaters, can only think of one or two guys(Ortega) that just own up to cheating.

Might be more cost effective for fighters to test and make a record of their supplement intake before taking it

There should be a market for certified clean supplements the way these athletes are popping dirty.

After all these cases you'd think athletes would stop taking supplements.
If I was a professional fighter I would have my supplements tested prior to consuming, especially if you are changing from one to another. Fact of the matter is, all these tainted supplement excuses are...

I've got some sympathy for Ribas, word is she's been released by the UFC and is therefore out of the testing pool.

She can serve the likely 2 years she'll be handed by the Nevada Commission and then fight again, but not in the UFC.

Because she's outside the pool - through no fault of her own - she'd actually have to serve a further two years before fighting in the UFC if they ever re-signed her. This seems unfair to me, a career killer, not just a 2 year ban.

Big difference is she outed that when she tested all her products clen came up and it never showed in her test. Which would make someone fail a test as well. She at least has a more believable story
