Anime and Manga v39

Aggressive depression kicking in BADLY. Need some feel good anime recommendations.
Damn, well you're probably already watching it but Skilled Teaser Takagi-san should make you feel all swell inside.

Hopefully you feel better.

Edited since yeah that was some ugly shit in that manga. Like I know people are into dark stuff like that, but yeah I don't need that in my life thank you.

Read Taisho Otome Otogibanashi and Reincarnation into a Slime then give me your thoughts.

He's too beta now. Also, he's got a girl looking over him if he gets violent. I'm scared if he goes berserk.
true but he's at least come to terms that he might have to kill again.. the guy who got his dad killed just showed up and it looks like he's gonna fuckin snap like the old days.

Theory I stole from someone else about One Piece chapter 900.

However then we have the other part of this chapter where you think "oh this is where the Straw Hats and they're allies all get away from Big Mom's crew" but then start seeing them start being horribly burned and shot with specific body breaking bullets and then blasted and sunk into the sea which... honestly at first does seem pretty shocking and a "wow was not expecting that at all" but the more you think about it, the more this doesn't really make any sense. Since at first I was thinking "well maybe they're just taking seemingly fatal damage and finding a way to escape" but... where would that be and how could they go about that? Especially when seemingly all the escape routes would be cut off and... would they really do that with the burned destroyed Sunny around? But then thinking about it I realized what's happening: as the title chapter indicated this is the "bad end" of what would happen if the Straw Hats and co were captured and taken out by Big mom's forces and they had Oven burning the Sun Pirates and the special bullets shooting down the vinsomkes and the special head ship blasting the crew. But bad end does indicate that it's one of several possibilities and scenarios, and what isn't really playing out. Because what I believe is that all the stuff with our heroes being seemingly killed and taken out... is just illusions that Pudding is putting in people's head. Taking out memories and implimenting them with fake ones to buy everyone time enough to escape.

That would be fucking GENIUS and the chapter fell on April 1 right? Would make PERFECT sense.

I'm rewatching the dubbed version of the original Yu Gi Oh.....

I have to be a masochist to do this.

1.) Joey's deck is SO BAD

2.) Yugi keeps winning with asspulls

3.) Kaiba makes new rules for Battle City and then IMMEDIATELY ignores them in his first duel by summoning Obelisk and attacking at the same time

4.) JOEY'S DECK IS STRAIGHT TRASH

5.) Joey only wins using the same 3 strats

6.) During the Duelist Kingdom arc no one uses fucking Polymerization and keep summoning random Fusion monsters. Joey is the worst offender by summoning Flaming Swordsman like a regular monster at least 4 times.

Anyone check out Megalo Box? Seems intense, futuristic boxing for gearheads.

Liked it. Felt that episode was cramming 2-3 episodes worth of story into an episode though but its moving through quite quickly.

Like the references to other boxing shows like Ippo and Ashita no Joe.

Love the 90's aesthetics, looks like Cowboy Bebop, and has that neo futuristic setting like Akira.

Im not into those Japanese weeabo songs but the ending is supremely catchy, the hook is fantastic.

Dont watch much anime recently outside of DBS but this one has my attention. Looking forward to binging Boku No Hero , AOT, Code Geass etc once theyre finished for the season.

Ok end of season round up, shows that are decent,

Overlord 2(great)
Darling in the frankxx (ok)
Violet Evergarden (not watched yet)

Anything else from last season?

New SAO this season i see.

Joey is not a net-decker.
Like, the show takes the “theme” concept for a deck to a ridiculous level but his deck.... no rhyme or reason and has garbage cards like Alligator Swird that is a tribute summon monster with only 1850 attack....

Fucking Gemini Elf and Vorse Raider are non tribute monsters with 1900 attack.....

Did it at least have a useful effect or something? Also,

https://ww1.soul-anime.us/watch/golden-kamuy-episode-1/

Episode 1 of Golden Kamuy.

https://kamuycentral.wordpress.com/2017/09/20/models-sugimoto/

Sugimoto was based on REAL people one of the them being the authors great grandfather who was actually NAMED Saichi Sugimoto and received Japan's Medal of Honor equivalent for his services during the Russo-Japanese War. The other was a WW2 soldier named Funasaka Hiroshi who actually DID some of the shit Sugimoto does in the manga along with surviving shit no normal man would.

That'st he thing it doesn't! It's a normal monster. The only benefit it has is with Polymerization and you can combine it with Baby Dragon to make a Fusion Monster but that's about the only benefit.

Like, at least Joey's Panther Warrior is a Level 4 2000 attack monster but you need scapegoat to tribute monsters in order to attack.

Yeah I looked it up and I struggle to see the point of such a card. I don't know enough about the game to fully comment, but yeah from memory his deck always seemed like a bizarre mish mash of cards.

What are people watching this year?

I just finished all the Jojo episodes and now trying to catch up with some of new episodes of my favorite series. I started with Gintama's Silver Soul Arc, but beforehand I realized how much I forgot in terms of detail from the previous main arcs so I plan to rewatch Shogun Assassination arc -> Farewell Shinsegumi Arc -> Rakuyou Decisive Battle Arc -> Silver Soul Arc. I started to watch Shogun ASsassination arc and I forgot how badass Gintama was when the good arcs come along. This anime doesn't give you a good first impression and it's an extremely slow start, but when it peaks IMO is one of the best anime you could ever watch especially after all the character development that built up.
