Anybody read the manga series Banana Fish?

It's about a young leader of street gang named Ash Lynx who revolts against his mentor/molester who happens to be a mob boss.

The art is okay (peoples faces are kinda drawn the same) and the story while adult-themed at times, is well written and not gratuitous. My brother-in-law turned me on to it, which is a surprise because I always thought he kinda looked down on me for reading manga and watching anime.

I can get the hate against the two. Especially against Code Geass, the ending was shit, the overall animation looked horrible and the fanservice was blatant.

Can't comment on Code Geass but I really liked the first half of Death Note, it went steadily downhill from there though.
