I order muscle milk and the ON whey from bodybuilding.com. I decided that i want to start taking a multivitamin so i searched the site for some. According to the site, the top multi is this animal pak. I dunno much about this stuff, so i was wondering if it's worth taking or if there is something better out there. Any info will be appreciated.

fish oil + a good multi + high protein diet pretty much covers everything you get from animal pak

you should be on a high protein diet even with animal pak. a good multi and fish oil should be less expensive by a great deal.

animal pak is a 11 pill multivitamin with extra things that body builders would find useful i think there are amino's, enzymes, and things for joints.

I like animal pak, but it got to be too many pills to take. So I dropped it in favor of a whole food liquid. But if you don't mind taking 11 pills, it's good stuff.

king kabuki has said its crap cuz it has a whole lot of stuff but not enough of any one thing

It's not really crap, but it's a bit much.

It's generally agreed among the supplement world, that Animal Pak is very good, but it is overpriced and not really necessary. I hear very good things about Now's "Adam" multi, AST 32x multi and Controlled Labs has Orange Triad. Of course it's up to you what you all want to get out of it and I certainly wouldn't say Animal Pak sucks. I just think it's overkill unless you are a pro bodybuilder.

It's a very potent multi. I've been taking it a little over a month now. The only negative about it is after your body consumes the limit of the multi, you piss the rest out. It might smell a little funny and if you don't drink enough water it'll be florescent.. almost like mountain dew color.

I like it and I think I got it for like 14 bucks for a 44 pack can. So it's not THAT expensive

ast 32x is compairable, but it takes alot for it to break up inside your body.

Eat clean and take a cheap one a day tablet. I got 350 pills, buy one get one for around 12 dollars. Thats over two years for 12 bucks (since I don't remember to take it every day).

Spend all the cash you save on other stuff like fish oils.

You use that centrum knock off from Costco don't you. I wouldn't expect that kind of advice from you. Can you elaborate a bit more? Or are your comments just a roundabout way of saying "Get your diet in check."

I don't even know what it is haha. Its a save-on brand from Osco drug. It was just on sale.

I haven't researched vitamins a lot, but the little I did in high school left me with the impression that they weren't that important. A bunch of studies I read back then and in under grad didn't see a difference in training with vitamin vs no vitamin vs megadosing. I kinda picture them like cheap insurance. In theory if you eat clean you shouldn't need them at all, so if you eat pretty good take a ok vitamin. Also, if you are taking supps a lot of them already contain vitamins. Meal replacement shakes, greens, zma etc...

This is just my opinion though. I mean, if you ate a lot of veggies would you be pounding greens +? I think if you eat great you may not even need it, but take it just in case. The guy who never eats veggies is the guy who needs to get a super greens product and take it twice a day. I think money is better spent on fish oils, greens, creatine etc..

Any info that proves me wrong would be appreciated. If its good, I'll toss away my cheapo vitamins and get whatever is top o' the line.

Sonyny, are there any good Multis at Costco?

Not sure. Last time I was at Costco was ages ago and all they had was a centrum knock off. I only get their fish oil but my Dad gets it for me because I don't have a membership.
