Yes, there are desperate cases where a dog needs to be put down, I'd do it in good faith myself, but in most cases it's simply stupid owners.

I agree, but owners are a lot harder to teach than dogs unfortunately.

I've got scars from psycho dogs that were abused (it was our dog) and scars from pulling my mild natured female off it's sister (they'd not seen each other for years) .... it's hard to know how a dog will react in any given situation, but if they've been abused or forced to fight then it becomes a lot easier to predict.

Great story by the way, photos of kids with their faces ripped off should be shown to all idiot dog owners IMO

100% agreed. Owners harder to reach than dogs, animals being animals and not always predictable, everything. Spoken like a man that knows more than a thing or two about dogs.

Sadly, responsible owners like responsible "anything" seem to be less common than I recall, a lot of PC stuff invading dog "business" as well.
