Those guys off the top of my head have the angel wing tattoos. I am sure there are plenty of others. The first thing that comes to mind when I see those tats are those teenage girls who say they are 51% angel 49% devil. Other things that come to mind are "fairy," "girls," "butterflies." What are these MMA fighters trying to say with these tats though? That they want to die and become beautiful angels?

Anyone have insight on what these tattoos mean and why they're so popular among MMA fighters?

Coming from someone that will probably die without any tattoos, I think they look pretty badass and accentuate those wide flaring lats.

The exact opposite is true. It's like getting a tattoo that covers a six-pack... it totally detracts from an impressive physique.

I have a pair of demon wings. Bitches love them. They have gotten me laid countless times. I almost never wear a shirt

Seriously though demon wings>than angel wings.

I wouldn't mind dying and becoming a beautiful angel.

yeah look like they should be on a stripper not a male mma fighter. or any man really

Has to do with faith. That and flight has always been something of an unattainable dream to man. Not every tattoo is so literal, it can be symbolic.

I know one of you clever fucks is gonna respond with something about airplanes or the Wright brothers.

Flight seems pretty attainable to me seeing as how I flew home from vacation last month. I didn't even have to use my demon wings tattoo

Also isn't it sacreligious to do that if you're a believer?

Why someone in such great shape and good looking would ruin their back that way is beyond me.
