That's what I don't get. I didn't know that Charlie Kirk existed before his assassination tbh. I'm also not American so there's that.

In all fairness if I'd been asked before this assination I would have definitely said that Tate would have been the guy that would get shot between the two. Kirk was contversial and had some pretty extreme views, but Tate is a menace to society.
