Has anyone heard any information on whether or not he is interested in fighting MMA? Does he walk around at 175? If he could fight at LW, there would be some cool match ups in the UFC or DREAM after he had a few wins.

yep i've read some articles with him and xande both talking about doing mma;.(

I think galvao would be a beast if he fought 155, I bet he's super strong for his weight. I could see him treating a few fighters like their balance balls haha.

Galvao at 155?! I don't think he would make that weight (unless he lost a few bones in the process), 170.. yeah, probably!

Theres a lot of fighters who cut from 175 to 155, it just depends on how much he actually weighs. Then again most of the guys who are doing the bigger weight cutting are strong wrestlers and use the extra strength and weight to their advantage. Which in that case it doesnt really matter for andre if there a bigger stronger wrestler trying to get the take down and lay and pray. He will reverse them or submit them.

Jiu jitsu isn't MMA fwogz1, still I think he would do ok in MMA depending on how much he plans to work on his striking...

Galvao fights at 88kg "meio-pesado" (that's 194pounds), he looses weight to be at 88. he is one ripped Mofo at meio pesado, how do you see him fighting at leve?

if thats the case, then he would fight at WW, after cutting like everyone else.

Can anyone confirm Galvao's height and weight? Just curious to know where he would fit in.

Galvao was shredded at medio, no way he'd make 155.

I met Andre recently. He said he was going to be doing MMA soon. As far as height. Id say he is 5'10" or so. Not sure on weight. Looked about 180 or so.

cool, where did you meet him at, and how did his personality seem to you?

Andre was supposed to be on this last TUF, at one weight class above like many TUFers do, but he had visa issues

damn, Galvao on TUF would have been nice, it would have introduced him to a big American audience! I could see him subing Taylor and CB.

and anyone else he would ever fight on that show

he would have subbed CB literally within 30 seconds of the fight hitting the mat.

it'd be funny if he pwnd his opponent just like that blackbelt in that tourney
