Yeah I said it, the fight nobody is talking about.

First there's Weidman. I'm not sure Chris is gonna steamroll Tim like people think he will. I can see an awkward struggle that leads to Boetsch pulling out a decision.

And then he faces Anderson. What if Tim somehow ended up beating Silva after getting thrashed for a few rounds like Boetsch/Okami?

and the Weidman / Boetsch fight was cancelled a long time ago.

I was actually favoring Boetsch over Weidman as well. I'm not sure who is stepping in for Weidman if anyone.

That being said I don't think Boetsch would beat Anderson either.

At 38 it's obvious Anderson is looking for fights to cement his legacy as the greatest. He already has the MW title defenses. Now he's looking for something beyond ordinary to elevate to extra ordinary and that will only come by facing a p4p superstar like himself.
 
all im going to say is okami beat down boetsch for two rounds i mean it wasn't even close and i know boetsch came from behide with those upper cuts, but look what anderson silva did to okami after two rounds. i dont even think anderson vs boetsch would ever happen. andy would turn the fight down and call out like freaking the janitor for another 205 fight.

Will Boetsch/Philippou be for a title shot? Or at least for Tim?
 
Anderson is as close as a lock is possible in a mma match if this fight were to happen.

meh. if he destroys him and Vitor wins and Belcher loses and Weidman's recovery doesn't go smoothly then ya maybe then. IMHO.

but i'm wrong all the time, so maybe it's a #1 contender fight, who knows.

Constantino Phillipou (sp?) is stepping in for Weidman.
 
Uh, I really like the Barbarian, and all, but he's not beating Anderson, not even by miracle.

I think he may have his hands full with Costa, for he's pretty tough match-up for him.
 
Anderson would destroy Boetsch. I actually feel kind of sorry for Boetsch. He's been on a very unlikely run, and if he would have beaten Weidman, he would have absolutely fought for the title.

And he would have been made to look like he didn't even belong in there. Like everyone else.

I didn't catch his last fight, but he looked sharp in that brutal fight against Court.
 
tim doesnt have anything to offer silva. He would get matrixed. He is very tough though I will give him that.
 
I literally don't see one area where Boetsch has even a hint of an advantage on Anderson. Would be even more senseless than the Bonnar fight, and I would not even bother watching.

At least Weidman would have a couple of tools, like his wrestling and athleticism, in his belt to beat Silva.
 
I wasnt favouring Chris over Tim by a wide margin. Silva though does steamroll him in my opinion, matrix shit followed by some crazy tko

Agreed. he has absolutely no chance whatsoever.

the ONLY way i could even remotely see him beating Anderson is if he sticks his face out in so much confidence and Boestch somehow hail mary's him with a haymaker
