Update: Silva had the surgery Wednesday, and it was deemed a success, according to Tannure.

According to the boxing coach, Silva was only five pounds away from making weight for UFC 198 and excited to be fighting in Curitiba for the first time in more than a decade.

"He was doing great, and this came out of nowhere," Dorea said. "He felt some (abdominal) pain before, but nothing serious. He always came back to train the next day, so we never imagined it would be something like this."

So Anderson wants on the 200 card?

GSP vs Anderson UFC 200 main event.

Good to hear. Hope he is doing well.

Really a shame he had to pull out. I was really looking forward to that fight.

I hope they find a replacement to fight Hall.

Edit: Just read that Hall is off the card. Bummer.

Glad to hear it.

Where is that asshole that said he was ducking ? Because of course people get unnecessary operations all the time. Just to duck a scrub fighter.

I fell like his name was used to draw more attention to the event and sell more tickets and the fight was never going to happen in the first place

Hardcore resorting to surgery to get yourself bumped ONTO the UFC 200 card.

Apparently PED usage can affect the gall bladder badly meaning surgery is required...... or am I crossing my wires & thinking about COWARDICE instead?

this is all tim kennedy's fault
