News Anderson Silva to Become a Cop?

Makes sense from the benefits stand point, I suppose. That's been the main reason Stipe has continued to work as a firefighter, even when he was a UFC champ.

Anderson earned tens of millions and remains an international celebrity. In fact his payout from the UFC antitrust lawsuit was $10.3 million last year alone. He's a wealthy guy and does not need a job for health benefits or pension.

I have an extraordinary doubt Anderson could pass the verbal/written requirements to be a Beverly Hills Patrol Officer. However it would not surprise me if he is applicable to an auxiliary or community outreach officer type job.

Beverly Hills has famously performant / high quality cops, and you are patrolling and interacting with some of the richest people in the world. You're also dealing with millions of visiting tourists yearly and the expectation is that everything runs smoothly.

They are also somewhat hyper-aggressive with ticketing, but that much is subjective. Some locals like that.

He mentioned he wanted to do this to give back to Mericuh for all that it has given him 🦅

God bless you Spider Cop

He will probably just have an honorary role and teach them combat, similar to Royce. Highly doubt he will serve as an acting police officer.

He seems too much of a teddy bear to be a cop. Id rather see him dancing like he is supposed to...

I read that his uncle, who raised him was a cop. Good for him if its not some weird Steven Segal police officer thing.

Really?
Millions of people come to see Beverly Hills?

not joking, just shocked... Aaron Spelling deserves a statue in the main square, i guess.

Officer Im sorry for speeding. My wife is in labour

Is normal! No problem. This is the big sport.

Thank you officer!

Good for him, whatever he needs to do to keep going in life and feel productive in society.

As of 2023 estimated around 4.7 million visitors/tourists a year. Likely higher now, it was 7.5 million prior to the pandemic.

Try to think of another small town with a population of only ~30,000 people that is more ubiquitously known internationally. You can say "Beverly Hills" as a proxy for rich/expensive/fancy anywhere in America and they'll get the reference.

Of all the places in LA county you absolutely expect to see tour busses, Beverly Hills is one of them. The Garden Park along Wilshire (roughly across from where Rodeo Drive shopping area is) is packed with tourists daily. Even outside shopping, people want to see the mansions in the flats. You're not going to see that in Ohio, so it makes sense its a tourist attraction.

who would've known that we are closer to Jon Jones vs. officer Anderson Silva now than 10 years ago

Anderson Silva will be frontkicking guns out of peoples hands on a nightly basis.
