Anderson would have to take him down IMO like he did against Marquardt. Thats the biggest difference between Izzy and Andy. Andy is a far better and more capable grappler.
 
He is a freak of nature. 205 is definitely his place.. dude was too drained at 185.

He's actually 1-1 against Izzy, who has actually defended his belt, and proven himself against very good grapplers, unlike Pereira.

Pereira also had the benefit of fighting a completely gassed out Jan for 2/3 of the fight at LHW (and Jan was two years older than when he fought Izzy), not to mention Pereira being better suited size wise for fighting at LHW than Adesanya.

Izzy is obviously a better mixed martial artist than Pereira to anybody who doesn't let their own bias get in the way.

Izzy got grapplefucked mounted and saved by the bell in the Janek fight. Pereira beat Jan.

Pereira left hooked Strickland inside 1 round. Izzy was completely dominated for 25 minutes vs Sean and forced into a long break because he does not have confidence anymore.

Alex Pereira is the better fighter of the two. There is a good reason Tittysanya is not taking the free LHW titleshot.

Because Pereira wasn't at all mounted and saved by the bell multiple times fighting a 40 year old completely gassed Jan?

Pereira was even saved by the bell twice against Izzy in their first fight, including when Izzy took him down and controlled him for 4 mins until the end of the round

Pereira beat Sean in 1 round. Izzy got embarrassed.

Pereira beat Izzy 3-1 overall. They are 1-1 in MMA and Izzy is ducking the trilogy.

You can do all the mental gymnastics you want but there is no argument here. Pereira is the better fighter.

Its crazy how his life changed just because he got mad at Izzy's shit talking, I don't think his reign will be that long seeing that he is almost 40 and has tons of millage but still, the fact that he came into the promotion like 3 years ago and has won 2 championships is amazing.
