I don't know why it is, but I recalled only one moment when Silva was staggered by a punch from the right side - against Weidman the second time, when Weidman threw a right hook over Silva's plum clinch, and Silva's legs just gave out. All others were from the left punches. I found this an amusing coincidence, but maybe it's a flaw in Silva's defence.

Nice find. Love seeing Chael drop the spider! :)

Shouthpaw vs Orthodox tends to cause that.(not all cases but still...)

Good observation OP. Never noticed it. Maybe just a hole in his game, maybe a coincidence, maybe he has a bad eye. Who knows.

I still cant believe he got hurt by fucking Shale lol

Chael's a southpaw, and Weidman/Bisping both have good left hooks. Nice observation though.

Good observation; I've never noticed that before. I don't know if I would count the Weidman one though. That was Silva's own fault for overdoing it with the clowning. I'm a massive Silva fan, but he deserved what he got in that fight.

Not trying to hate on Anderson, his accomplishments are incredible.
But actually he gets hit/hurt quite often as soon as his opponent does anything else than throwing sloppy and predictable, alternating one-two combinations while walking towards him.
It's weird how basic the average MMA fighter's striking, especially the boxing was for a long time.
Weidman - doubles up on his punches instead of going right left right left
Diaz (hit him more than 5 other opponents combined) - same story, actually doubles up on one side
Chael - mixes in his wrestling and threats the takedown
Bisping - also more technical boxing

Makes sense. He is left handed, so his left brain is his weaker side.

That's probably because like many so called fans you have no understanding of the fact that these are all professional fighters.

The itsy-bitsy spider
Climbed up the water spout
Down came the left hook
And washed the spider out
Out came the Weidman
And dried up all the rain
And the itsy-bitsy spider
Climbed up the spout again
Then Bisping took him out.

For anybody watching the sport for ages and knows Spider, he use to stand and bang with hws without head gear. His chin is gone at this point. It be like talking Chucks chin at the tail end of his career.

Im pretty sure in the last 6 1/2 years from when Shale was in WEC or UFC, Anderson is the only fighter he has knocked down or hurt on the feet with punches lmao

After Anderson yes, he's only had 3 fights Jones, Rua & Evans no shame in not knocking these guys down or out.
But pretty sure is kind of sketchy considering he has 7 TKO/KO's prior.

anderson's chin must be getting better with age to be able to survive michael " hands of stone " bisping's punches.

When your chin goes it goes. Anderson used to take nukes to the face but most people didn't notice because he was never rocked. People just assumed he slipped a punch or rolled with it and while he did some times he took his fair share of hard shots.
