Lots of people try to criticize GSP for not moving up to fight Anderson but do they offer the same pass to Silva?
Should Anderson's legacy be also tarnished by the fact he did seemingly whatever he could to avoid fighting Jon Jones in a superfight when there was fan hype around the potential matchup?

too much sucking up between those 2 so idk

If Silva's skills were gonna diminish to the point that he was subject to losing to the Mediocre Count, the UFC should have at least made big money off it and elevated a star. Jones could have used that rub and the PPV would have sold huge.

Only assholes criticize fighters for not moving weight classes. If they choose to do it that's great but to criticize guys for not moving up and putting themselves at a physical disadvantage is stupid.

What the hell are you talking about?? Anderson and Jones both said that they didn`t want to fight each other, but the money was so much that Anderson actually started saying he would, days before the Weidman fight he said in an interview that he was tired of GSP refusing the fight so he would beat Weidman and wanted to fight Jones next, but who knows?? A superfight like that you have to much to lose and both guys knew that so i don`t think that fight would have actually happened ever, especially because it would probably be a Catchweight fight and they would put their division`s on hold and that would be hard with the contenders they had waiting at the time especially Jones.

I would too if I was him, Bones is a terrible match up for Andy.

Silva's legacy is already tarnished because of the "Viagra"

There never should have been talk of that superfight. Fans have always seemed to have blinders on to how uncompetitive that fight would have been.

GSP/Silva on the other hand...

Jones would murder Anderson. I think Jones' legacy will eventually outgrow Andersons' legacy.

Quoted where I stopped reading because I don't want to correct the rest of your probable inaccuracies.

Anybody who knows what was going on back then knows that Silva played coy with his statements regarding his decisions.

He didn't want that fight.

You said Anderson avoid the Jones fight when Jones himself said he didn`t want to fight Silva...What is your logic??
It would have been a dream fight but no one should get criticism for no taking a fight out of their Weigh Class, especially Champions. You are all butthurt about GSP, big fan?

Bones and Silva were buddies anyways, Silva said in interviews Jones would beat em. Had nothin but respect for em and Bones had nothing but admiration. Stop being a hateful lil bitch and prayin for motherfuckers downfall. SIlvas already on it, Jones will go on to shit on all your favorite fighters for the next 10 years. Dont worry you'll always have something pathetic to complain about.

no reason he should've been expected to go up and fight him, plus he get's destroyed anyway. it's not like one of those "what could've been" scenarios

And he is very lucky he did duck Jones, he would have been smashed badly by Jones. its not a competitive fight at all, Jones would take him down easily and elbow him to death

I was in another topic and this dude was all butthurt about this there too, lol to me you are just a hater looking for stupid things to devalue one of the best fighters ever(for me the GOAT).

People say that but we never actually saw GSP against another fighter who weighed 185 the day before. There is not s single fight to project GSP being successful at 185.
I think GSP would have struggled with a lot of guys at 185.

My point being that GSP would have faced a major size problem against several top MW and he was wise not to fight them.
