Maia takes down all of his opponents at WW. Took down and submitted Chael at MW even. Took down and dominated a round versus Rory. Hughes couldn't dream of that. His ground and pound is even better now, see what he can do to high tier grapplers like Nelson. Prime Hughes wouldn't even be able to keep Nelson on the mat.

Maia couldn't take down Anderson to save his life. His wrestling is a joke compared to Hughes who has taken down far better fighters in his career

Lmao Hughes would get destroyed by both of them even worse. You'll never see someone of Maias caliber lose to a natural LW 2X. Hughes is the most overrated fighter of all time. Look at his skillset, Prime Hughes loses to most of the top 10 today.

Anderson has good TDD. He had double knee surgery weeks before the Lutter fight and that's why his TDD was so bad in hat fight. Look it up.

Hughes would have even less success trying to take Anderson down and would be KOd within 5 minutes unlike Maia who lasted 5 rounds.
