Put some respek on the GOAT's name

Objective translation for this fanboy post:

Silva, a proven PED user, took a fight on short notice because he had nothing to lose as he was in his all time low fight-wise and reputation-wise and got easily dominated and defeated by the first elite LHW he ever fought.

I wasn't impressed, would have preferred Mousasi vs DC. The Silva vs DC fight didn't do anything for the card.

I'll say it again- he won the fight on the feet and nearly KO'd DC. DC's painfully boring lay n pray ruined this night for the entire MMA world. Jones would have crushed him and I wouldn't have minded to see a PED user bust him up again.

What a warrior AS is
Hail to the king baby

silva is faster, taller, and has a reach advantage. that's it.

cormier wasn't expecting to fight a muay thai fighter until 48 hours before.

silva is overrated and not the "greatest fighter ever" like the ufc's goldberg and joe rogan were saying. it's false advertising and exaggeration.

anderson silva melted like butter against cormier's takedowns. silva would easily lose to john jones. silva in his prime has never faced strong wrestlers like them because silva fought in a weak division.

Silva showed that GOATs gonna GOAT. I really thought he was going to get smashed.

I wouldn't say no damage, he was wobbled a few times but he did well all things considered.

And Cormier did also, considering he must have had a roller coaster few days, not fighting, then fighting again, change of opponent. The fight was piss poor, but looking at it from the fighters perspective, it was pretty much all they could do. Cormier couldn't take the risk, Anderson was hoping for a big shot.

Disclaimer: Huge Anderson fan.

DC cracked him quite a bit when they were on the feet....i think everyone is just trying to convince themselves he still has it. He looked good on the feet but he was getting tagged. In the past he would get tagged and not think twice but he seems to get wobbled very easy now.

Fedor got destroyed by the first top 100 LHW he ever fought.

Boring fight- Respect to Silva for fighting on short notice. Champion's should be ready to fight anyone at anytime. No excuses.

Forgetting the fact that he is 41, had no camp, is giving up 30lb's, just had gall bladder surgery… Does anyone even think a prime Rockhold or a prime Weidman could even last three rounds against DC with two days notice and no training?

Could Jon last three rounds with two days notice and no training? Anderson is on another level. A week ago people thought DC would finish prime Anderson within two rounds… Now a strong majority think that prime Anderson would probably beat him. Quite the turnaround.

But more than anything, the one thing that shows just how well Anderson did is 'Claude's' reaction. Dude has gone into full blown damage control, trying to shit on the performance. Already made at least five wasteland threads.
