As Silva fan i kind of hope he retire.

It was bizarre fight. I can see that Anderson did want to have same cage time time and have fun (He likes to fight) i think he didnt want to rush things but cmon, there was blenty of situation where he could just be more willing to finish and probs he could get that W.

Even it was cool to see anderson ude his movement and elbow blocking skill angaist cage he can blame himself. Hes offence was horrible just ugly. It looked that he just was planning to use some special movement to beat Bisping. if he just used to fight basic kickboxing style (use more kicks) he probs would beat bisping quite handily. (Everytime he mixed kicks he hurted Bisping) it looked like he forget how to fight. Bisping other hand hit him constantly with basic things.

Fight looked like some odd sparring silva giving Bisping so much time to get hes shit together and dont go to kill. Just after that flying knee round started and Bisping just looked Zombie......

After that front kick Bisping whobled what Silva did? nothing.

He's not the same, he used to pounce. He tried to do the Mark Hunt and it costed him. Just watched the Dana White recap and they are right. If Anderson would have followed Bisping to the ground and hit him maybe it would have been enough to convince Herb Dean to call the fight.

To be fair, being his age (both literal and fight age) he didn't look that bad. He had a lot of things going for him but I agree with the others, clowning and inactivity lost him the fight ultimately. It's a different game now, you have to showboat and fight for possibly 25 minutes with little to know breaks.

Too much clowning / posturing / inactivity.

Totally agree with this, felt exactly the same to me. He really let it slip away imo.

I think his mental game is lost. He's so stuck on posturing and intimidating his opponents it's almost like that's half the fight for him. Once you've got them mentally beat, you just have to put them away.

You look at Chris, Diaz and Bisping and the mental games had no effect, and that leaves Andy stunned. It's like he can't believe these guys aren't backing down, and so he ups the ante and tries to mess with them more, but still to no avail.

this guys is proof that Silva fans are morons LOL
Never heard about home-advantage?
It was a close & difficult fight to score, if the fight was in Brazil, anderson would have given the decision.
Maybe think a second before you post.

Not an AS fan hated how he clowned Maia just calling it as I see it. This is why UFC doesn't do big events in the UK. Don't complain next time Mouse Johnson is headling a UK card when they don't even know how to judge a fight. Pickett, Breese, and Bisping all got gift wrapped hometown decisions

It was entertaining when he got on the cage and motioned for Bisping to engage, Michael just backed to center and stood still.

I think Anderson is in a situation, where everybody and himself awaits an extremely flashy finish.
He has the pressure to do extraordinary things in the cage and i think that showed on saturday. It was like you could see the question mark above his head with a bubble "how can i knock bisping out in a neverseen fashion".
Arrogance played a role, too. He acted like "i can end this fight whenever i want". He didn't capitalize after the front kick, he just slowly followed Bisping.

His chin isn't the same, i agree with that. But shot? He recovered in like a second after the knock down. The same in Silva Weidman II after the clinch. He was hurt, yes. But he was never out. Only time he was out, when Weidman clipped him with the left hook in which Anderson leaned into.

For me what cost him the fight, was a bad corner. Why didn't they forcefully told him it was damn close or that Bisping might be 3:1?

Or maybe they did and Anderson just didn't listen o_O

Anderson is a victim of his own ego.

Anderson lost due to lack of offense. He didn't want to fight Rockhold anyway.

It was weird that he didnt mix it up. Even in Bonnar fight he got Win via mixing takedown and then knee rush.

Anderson had very poor decision-making in that fight. What the hell is wrong with him

Silva fans making endless excuses when he clearly loses and praise all his stupid antics in the cage. Bisping was really fucked up from that flying knee and Silva could have wrecked his shit in the 4th but instead decided to do a rope a dope against the cage while getting tagged with clean combos. There is no such thing as home advantage, only 10 point must score system. Maybe in Brazil but not the rest of the world.

totally
He was the superior fighter imo, but he let Bisping catch up with him point wise in a close fight in Bisping Country.
He should have just finished him when he got chance and he got a couple of those moments to do that.

The big question is *could* anderson have finished the fight at any moment? I doubt it. But he was in complete control and *should* have tried.

Instead he left it up to the judges and that's what everyone knows you never do.

Shows you have not watched many sports. If a fight, any sport match whatsoever is close judges/referees often will favor the home team. That is something that happens in many sports and it happened in that fight too. You can't deny that. Bisping looked a mess after a that fight and in big trouble multiple times.

Props to Bisping for surviving blows that have finished so many other fighters. Are the blows less effective because of age or less vitamins? I don't know. Anderson was looking for the perfect blows that no other fighter can deliver. He did it. Bisping survived and hit Silva more. That's it. How the fights are scored become such a small part of the story in a fight that offers so many great moments.

It was a fun fight. If fans can't be entertained by that because they have allegation to their favs, well...we can't underestimate human stupidity. Even the stupidity of MMA fans, which is a given.
