If you just go by length of run then MM is on top. Quality of opposition is way more important.

Sure he finished some good fighters, but he also finished some not so good fighters. Let's face it, guys like Leites, Cote (even though i love him), Sonnen, Irvin, Lutter and probably even Franklin would not fare well against most of the monsters at MW we have today. I mean just think about it: Whittaker, Romero, Weidman, Gastelum, Jacare, Rockhold, Mousasi (if he were in the UFC at the time of this what if scenario), etc. Israel and possibly Borrachina would be tough fights for some of them as well.

I would definitely favor those first 7 guys i listed over any of those guys Anderson finished and even Anderson himself except for maybe Mousasi. Bisping and GSP in their current forms (if GSP stayed at MW) would beat most if not all of those guys. I just don't think Anderson would be champ in this current atmosphere, especially with USADA around now.

The belfort, henderson and franklin finishes i will give him credit for though. The rest were not super impressive. Just my opinion.

That's an old lie that was created by GSP fans to justify his inability to finish fights when Silva was putting everyone to sleep.
The lie spread and became a gospel among GSP fans. It's complete BS, the likes of Serra, Shields, Condit and Hughes are by no means better than Hendo, Vitor, Okami, Chael, Forrest, to name a few.

It's a lie. And each time it shows up, I correct it.
