I thought it was pretty surreal when Fedor dropped 3 in a row. Anderson dropping 4 in a row (if it happens) is going to top that.

Fighters get old.

They should retire instead of getting repeatedly concussed.

Not a bad lineup though.

Weidman(Future MW champ)
Weidman(MW champ)
Bisping(Future MW champ)
DC(LHW champ)

True. However, he's stepping up on a day's notice to fight the LHW champ in DC. DC is also a beast wrestler who fought at HW with success. A loss here shouldn't be held against him. Plus, in retrospect, losing to Bisping by decision isn't so bad, considering he damn near finished him and Bisping literally just embarrassed Rockhold.

At 42, Silva has nothing to prove

but is normal

I hope he replicates his winning streak with consecutive losses.

Amazing how everyone has forgotten who won the fight between Silva and Diaz.

Never liked Silva but I fear for him and his legacy after this upcoming fight. I have a feeling that Cormier is gonna hurt him.

He's just not the same guy he was. Saw it in the Bisping fight, couldn't pull the trigger anymore. Happens to old boxers.

::cough cough ::couture? what about couture? a lot of sherdoggers would have commited suicide if it wasnt for couture who dethroned tim slyvia .. slyvia wouldve had that belt for a much longer time

Just normal. Everyone grow old. They just need to keep fighting to feed their families.

We never know when it is the right time to stop fighting. Anderson started declining years ago. He still won at least 6 fights after that, and we eventually knew he would start losing.

Everyone knows Anderson and Fedor would not lose to any of those guys, In their prime, and even beat them the first years when they started to decline... but some day everyone gets old.

-was clowning
-broke leg
-legit beat diaz, despite overturn
-barely lost split to current champ
-taking fight 2 days notice outside of weight class.

give the guy some leeway

He beat Diaz and Bisping imo.

Not many guys in the UFC that can beat Cormier at their best.Props to Anderson for stepping up as a 41 yr old mw on 2 days notice shortly after having surgery.

No big deal. Everyone gets old. Seen it before. Doesn't take away from what he's done. Same with Silva. Guys like Jens Pulver, BJ, Sakuraba, etc all went on too long.

I don't think GSP will be the same if he comes back so I won't fault him from this point out either. It's amazing most of them could win as long as they did.

Whatever, he's a legend, one of the goats. Everyone get's old and loses.

Getting old + post PED suspension is a bad combination

But the first part is the normal curve for fighters. they stick around too long, start to lose and you get lots of comments about "was this guy ever that good?". then a few years after they retire their careers start to be put in perspective

is normal

then again - maybe he actually wins tomorrow???
