Ancient megalithic ruins from around the world

Random thought:

At first I thought to myself, what are the chances every single one of these societies across the globe ALL decide to make big ass stone monuments to show off?

You would think one would skip stone carvings and instead make incredible things out of wood. But then it occured to me they very well might have and probably did, it just decayed and eroded away as wood does.

So it makes you wonder what these places TRULY looked like at the time. All that's left now is the stone but before that there may have been full cities built around some of these structures

I thought about this with the raised doors TS mentioned. Could easily have had wooden stairways that couldn't stand the test of time.

It was soft marble and this is in the 1500s. With today's technology we can replicate a lot of that stuff from the ancient past but it wouldn't be practical.

Can't be denied that the ancient globally connected civilizations were using the same techniques and had similar styles.

Compare that to the polished basalt/granite.

You’re missing the point. We can go all the way back to the Romans and Greeks in ancient times if you want to, great sculptures aren’t limited to a time period. Mike had no modern technology at his disposal, pretty much all done by hand. And while he most likely had assistants -he was on his own for all of what he did. Material is irrelevant to the point, obviously with enough time and patience anything can be worked with.

Now imagine a whole shit load of Michaelangelos.. like an army of them. And that’s where all your amazing pictures came from. Nothing more. Not some crazy technological super civilization, just a bunch of crazy skilled artists/engineers with a shit load of time on their hands.

It’s all man made. All of it. And it wasn’t some Superman civilization that was flying around in flaming chariots shooting at the moon with magically illuminated arrows. Just a bunch of dudes bro

Look at Rome for crying out loud, huge impossible looking stone/marble structures but because they’re well documented you think it’s different than the ones that aren’t as well documented. Everything you have here isn’t much different than what they did tho.

Your imagination is by far more amazing than the truth behind every picture you’re posting here.

That whole area around Australia is interesting. There would've been alot of land there when the water was lower. Zealandia? People living near the coast etc... all their shits probably underwater. Nan Madol is super interesting. Was supposed to be a city up on a mountain. Now it's an island. What was the area around it like? I hope the aliens tell us when they get here. My new giant big titted Nordic blonde alien wife.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Mountain_(Kalkajaka)_National_Park

The park is 25 km south west of Cooktown. It is managed and protected as a national park under the Nature Conservation Act 1992.

The main feature of the park is the mass of granite boulders, some the size of houses. The absence of soil between the boulders and rocks create a maze of gaps and passages, which can be used to penetrate inside the mountain. These rocks can become extremely hot.

The area has a bad reputation as numerous people and those searching for the missing have disappeared without trace. The Mulligan Highway marks the western border of the park.

They definitely would have needed some scaffolding.

It doesn't make sense that primitive people in the desert were using that much wood though. Practically all the primitive buildings in that region are mud/brick or smaller stones.

On the other hand, wood, stone, and metal were rare or even entirely absent.

He had better hand tools.

It was done with soft stone, not granite and basalt.

You're ignoring all the evidence in the thread. The tapered doors, the knobs, the impossible to do with primitive hand tools polygonal walls, the stone doors, the uniform machine cut marks, the metal clamps etc.

It's impractical even with today's technology.

An army of Michaelangelos only existing in ancient times doesn't make sense.

It was definitely made by a globally connected people with advanced technology.

The development of hand tools is how the recovered populations were able to carve softer stone.

They still didn't have the tech for polygonal walls with metal clamps.

No one is wasting that much metal back then and why did the global practice stop all of a sudden?

On 2nd thought, i have already heard it. Sounds like a llama explaining Graham's number. I will pass.

These all look like they were broken into. Seriously how do you hollow out the inside of some of these?
