I've got into it last 6 months and love it i only play it at my local pub as they got full size table so play whilst drinking isn't the best but it's fun

Took a step back from pool for a bit . Never would have thought how hard it is energy size it's tough sport wouldn't think it really

i used to love to play. in fact, not to brag, but i was the 1991 pfeiffer college champion as just a freshman. havent played in recent years though

Yes but we call it by it’s more formal name: Ping Pong

Our most famous and decorated Ping Pong champion was a former War Veteran from Alabama.

About 15 years ago a group of us bought a table at work and played every day during lunch hour. Good times.

I made it to the finals in my college dorm ping pong tournament. I lost to a chinese guy. I also have one in my garage but never play it. Some old guys at the Y are always playing and they're pretty good.

I personally prefer pocket pool.

Ping Pong is fun, but Americans can't hold anything to the Asians.

Unless you're Forrest Gump.

Table Tennis has slowly become a global sport. And the Americans are closing in on the Asians in terms of level of talent, as shown in last year's Olympics. Even Europeans have learned to compete at an international level.

Diversity.

I love it. I've never played tennis but I'm somehow very good at ping pong. It's a fun game.

The dumbest thing was when they went from a small to a larger ball for TV. The larger ball moves slower and is easier to influence with spin. Small pips players , who relied on aim and speed at the expense of being able to put on heavy spin, lost out. The game in my opinion got dumb when it allowed the bigger ball and the introduction of sticky rubber paddle surfaces. The new rubbers are ridiculous in how little effort is required to put on heavy spin. No technique required. To spin the ball with small pips requires a lot of technique. And small pips rubbers are cheap. You can spend $50-100 on expensive sticky rubbers. It makes the game dumb when the equipment you bring can make a tremendous difference.

Sandpaper table tennis I think is actually better to watch than standard table tennis. There is a lot of volleying that occurs to position the other player. With regular rubbers, long volleys are much more rare.

Best U.S. Hardbat player make a lot of good points about hardbat. The guy too used to date Susan Surrandon and that is why she is involved in table tennis.

I appreciate the work and skill in the game now before I played it looked easy it seems you don't move much

But the energy it takes to play a set is unreal you use up so much energy

I play it 3-4 times a week now

Love it and cardio wise it's great

Ping pong is fun but beer pong is more of an American sport

America started to dominate ping pong once the war hero Forrest Gump arrived on the scene.
