I can understand her complaints about the more recent stuff. The civil rights era and beyond but there isn't a country in the world that didn't have slaves at some point in their history and there is still full-on slavery in some countries today.

I also agree with her point about the bible. Not because of the homosexuality remark, gays can do whatever they want but it strikes me as a lack of separation of church and state.

And I thoroughly agree with what everyone who has posted ahead of me, why even join the army? You think they put cocaine in the inner cities in the 80s? A) prove it and B) EVERYONE DID COKE IN 80s!!! My dad did coke in the 80s and he lived in Melrose, MA. Hardly a city.
