American Fighters Today: WTF

It was a global sport back then, the UFC didn’t have the sport in a chokehold back then, though.

I would say more just USA, Brazil, Japan, Russia and Canada with the odd fighter from other countries thrown in. It wasn't as global as it is today

Brady has the best chance for sure to get the belt.

There isn't any thats the problem. They should being back Andre The Chief Roberts so we can see an American fighter again and remove the 265 cap and let him feast on them

The CHIEF will turn everything around for sure. They shoulda already done been done that.

About 50% and across all the men's weightclasess there's barely 15 guys in the top 10.
What are the results if you look back over the past ten years?

What about American grapplers? Gary Tonnon, Jordan and Nicky Ryan, Mikey M, etc?

It's about American Fighters, this isn't the White House thread..
So WTF was OP talking about when they wrote:
“Not sure Donnie and Dana have thought the birthday card thing through. Picture Americans losing every fight they're in. Happy 250th... Yikes!” because that’s rather confusing.

Shakur Stevenson, Vergil Ortiz Jr, David Benavidez, Jaron Ennis, Rolly Romero, Brian Norman Jr, Richardson Hitchins, Gary Antaunne Russell, Floyd Schofield, Lamont Roach Jr, Frank Martin.

the boxing forum is that way >>>>>>>

Sandhagen will be champ in a couple weeks. Don’t worry about it

On the UFC rankings page which sucks, yeah, I know, but where my homies at?

P4P (which is dumb, but) :
You have to get to Holloway at 12 to find the first American.

What about the relevant divisions?

135:
You have to get to Cory at 4 to find the first American and he's about to get crushed by Merab.

145:
You have to get to Aljo at 5 to find the first American, but there's not much of a chance for him against the top guys.

155:
You have to get to Max at 3 to find the first American, but there's not much of a chance for him against the top guys.

170:
You have to get to Brady at 2 to find the first American. At least he's got a decent shot for a strap.

185:
You have to get to Strickland at 3 to find the first American and of course Khamzat will absolutely manhandle him.

205:
Clowntree at 4. Just LOL.

HW:
Blaydes at 4 and Lewis 8, who at least has a shot to beat anyone, although unlikely.

Not sure Donnie and Dana have thought the birthday card thing through. Picture Americans losing every fight they're in. Happy 250th... Yikes!

I don't think the Whitehouse card is supposed to be a usa vs everyone sort of card. It's just a bombdiggity card. I'd bet most or all of the fighters love America.

OP needs to put the pipe down.

Fighting is about the individual, not the country. Amaya has been. That's why we consistently see fighters being successful from regions we've never heard of or seen that from before. DDP from South Africa, Topuria from Spain, Ngannou from Cameroon, etc. The dudes who can actually reach the top are just freaks, regardless of race or nationality.

Now, that aside, America has fighters in the top 5 in every weight class, and tons of the foreign names live and train in the US. We have the best facilities and training in the world, and I don't think that can be disputed.

All i see is Americans being well represented in almost every division LOL.

Wtf r u on ..

When did being top 5 mean your shit in any division LOL..

This. What is the OP smoking? If anything, this shows American supremacy.

I mean look at the average card these days.

Most of them feature dudes whose names you can't pronounce from all corners of the world.

I love how citing there is a high ranking fighter in every division is a sign of how bad America is at MMA. Not to mention some of this is arbitrary as guys like Mekrab learned how to fight in the States lol.

Theres a top 5 guy in every division that is American, man America sucks! I'm sure every country is doing much better than that. Brazil is like the only country that has a comparable spread, but sure, America sure is bad at fighting!
