Depends on the degree of oppression. If these officers are HITMEN on a mission to murder me or beat me, you bet your ass I'm running.
But if these officers are wrongly arresting me, it's just not worth it, because even if I get away, then I'm DEFINITELY a criminal just for what I had to do to escape.
It makes far more sense to run the gauntlet of the court system and if the oppression is blatant(i.e., if the officers acted outside the scope of their authority) maybe you come out with a pretty paycheck at the end, instead of dead on the beach.
Don't get me wrong, I'm no defender of police states, I'm actually quite libertarian, but even I don't run from the cops. It just isn't worth it.
