American "just bleed" audiences ruined Fedor. In the quiet educated japanese arenas Fedor was much more patient and calculated. Much more technical. He didn't just dive into Nog's guard. He timed it. He didn't just brawl with Cro Cop, he had a strategy.

Once he came to Strikeforce and he felt the energy of the American just bleed crowds, he became a brawler. Even to the point that he threw himself into Werdum's triangle when normally he would have hesitated and approached Werdum's guard strategically. Instead, he dove in recklessly.

Then look at his fight with Big Foot. Just standing in place and winging punches with his back against the cage. That's not Pride Fedor.

Fedor is an empath. He feeds off the the energy around him. And so the American energy makes him fight recklessly. Hopefully he does more meditation to block out the crowd's energy so he can fight to his full intellectual capabilities, not just running on raw emotion.

Fedor in Japan is invincible.

America didn’t ruin shit because Fedor striking technique is always shit.

This ramble has enough facts to get behind.

Too bad it doesn't work on 50% of the roster who are training point fight doo jitz

Or injuries caused him to lose his explosive grappling and he decided not to retire????

You really think his coaches are telling him "yes just strike only" in the gameplan?

That Dan henderson and rampage juat decided not to wrestle just because? Did america ruin them too?

They just say "But muh american fans!!!"

SOUNDS PLAUSIBLE

Old age ruined Fedor, just like all fighters.

Old age is still the undefeated, undisputed champion of the world.

Did America ruin Cro-Cop as well???

totally.

or he just waned with time. and coincidentally he fought in Japan earlier, US later.

all fighters (shit, all people) age differently. he had a better run than anyone above 185, ever, in the short history of this sport. that he waned in his early 30's instead of his mid or late 30's doesn't lessen the decade of dominance. in my mind.

and i question the minds of those those who do.

His crap performance over an injured and overweight Maldonado wasn't in front of an American audience so that kills that argument right there.

It also might have something to do with 43 fights.

Blame it on the fence. His numbers are better in a ring.

And just like that "Silence Arena" Fedor is born

Everyone slows down around 35 fights.

Not everybody can go 10 years undefeated and 7 years #1 in their division.
