Amber Heard files for divorce from Johnny Depp

Another Hollywood marriage is ending.

Amber Heard has filed for divorce from Johnny Depp, and is seeking spousal support from the Oscar-nominated actor in court records, according to the Associated Press. Heard listed their date of separation as Sunday.

TMZ was the first to reports the news, and says the couple did not have a prenup. Entertainment Tonight reports Depp's mother died on Friday.

The couple married in February 2015 in a small beach ceremony on Depp's private island in the Bahamas, one year after revealing they were engaged. They have no children together.

Depp, 52, and Heard, 30, met on the set of the film The Rum Diary in 2009. At the time, Depp was still with his partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis, and he later stated that his relationship with Heard did not begin until after he and Paradis separated in 2012.

Ordinarily I wouldn’t post a celebrity gossip story like this, but I can’t wrap my head around the fact that there was no prenup.

What the hell was going through his mind? Dude is worth 400 million dollars. Could he really be this arrogant to think that this gorgeous woman 22 years younger than him was so in love with him that she would never divorce him?

Half true statement. Yes Ppl have been marrying since forever, yes for money. But this new phenomenon that is present is new. Never in history has women had the full backing of courts and law to screw a man over. They now have the intention to marry and divorce seeking ailomny etc. Before this was only present for rich or status women. Now look at the statistics. More divorcee then ever before. And it's initiated by women just like they initiate marriage. So that's the plan now for mostly all women. They know they can easily divorce and not have to work. This is extremely present in the western world. Compare that with the other side and you will see women don't have that power or say. Frankly I think it's the big feminist movement in the western world.
